‘Here, but also here’ is a locative artwork that invites visitors to explore layers of place and space. Experience Silo Park and somewhere else through a combination of maps, audio, and imagination. Artist Erin Fae created this work of psychogoeography through the lens of inheritance of space and migrations—great and small.
‘Here, but also here’ relies on participant curiosity.
That’s why you’re here. Please explore.

Maria Dumlao is an artist whose work (like this project) has layers.
There’s always another story hidden behind what you think you see, and Maria took me on a walk of the seen and unseen world of her childhood neighbourhood.

MAP B: Howick 1994-1997
Director of Satellites Rosabel Tan is committed to connecting people with Tāmaki Makaurau’s best contemporary Asian artists. When I asked her to think of a formative period in her life, she took me back in time to Howick as it was in the mid-1990s. This time represents her first years in Aotearoa, when she was figuring out not only who she was but who she was in this new country.

Map C: The University of the Philipines
Artist Marc Conaco is inspired by the pre-colonial culture and the heritage of the Philippines. When I asked him to think of a place that held a moment of transformation, he took me back to his time at the University of the Phillipines.
